DescriptionMandulis Energy develops grid and off-grid renewable energy projects in Africa, to provide, clean, affordable, and productive energy. Started in Uganda, where our pilot is operational, and we are developing: Off-grid 8MW (16 x 500kW): IoT-enabled biomass powered micro-grid, to distribute sustainable and renewable energy generated by gasification of agricultural waste.

Off-grid 8MW (16 x 500kW): IoT-enabled biomass powered micro-grid, to distribute sustainable and renewable energy generated by gasification of agricultural waste.

In collaboration with GIZ GmBH, we are developing a biomass gasification prototype for rural electrification that can deliver 8MW (0.5MW x 16 sites) of productive and affordable energy to 15,000 farmers as well as rural industries/businesses (grain millers, oil pressers, telecoms towers, welders, internet cafes etc.) in off-grid farming communities in Uganda.

A scalable, integrated solution to energy security, food security, climate resilience and poverty alleviation, that can be replicated across the developing world in countries with similar fundamentals.

The total project investment across 16 off-grid renewable energy hubs is US $32 Million or $2M per hub.
